    Abu Jahed Mohammad Nasir Uddin, also known as A.J.M. Nasir Uddin (Bengali: আ জ ম নাসির উদ্দিন; born 1 January 1957[2]) is a Bangladeshi politician for the Awami League party and former mayor of Chittagong.

    He has been accused of playing a central role in the July massacre in Chittagong, orchestrated and carried out during the july revolution under Sheikh Hasina's administration.[3][4]

    Nasir was born on January 1, 1957, in Andarkilla, Chittagong.

    He attended Kadam Mubarak Primary School for his primary education. Nasir then went on to complete his Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) in 1973 at Government Muslim High School. He furthered his education at Chittagong College, where he completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.).[5]

    Career

    Nasir became active in politics in the early 1980s, serving as the president of the Chittagong College Chhatra League in 1977.
