Rick Warren Biography

Rick Warren is a renowned American pastor and evangelist who is the founder and senior pastor of Saddleback Church. He is also recognized for his book, The Purpose-Driven Life (2002).

As of today, Warren is one of the most influential Evangelical Christians in the United States of America.

Born in San Jose, California, and raised in Ukiah, California, Warren attended Ukiah High School later graduating in 1972.

Rick then joined California Baptist University where he got his Bachelor of Arts. He further Got a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary.

It was then at the age of 26 when he and his wife Kay founded Saddleback Church where he still serves as the senior pastor.

To many of his fans, he is Pastor Rick but to his immediate congregation, they call him Papa Rick.
