Rare beast sighted! Someone with African heritage writing in the epic fantasy/heroic fantasy genre. But then, I've always been a little bit...different. While my peers were all into Soul music and big fans of Muhammad Ali, I preferred Rock, and favoured Ali's big rival, Joe Frazier.

Growing up in Lagos, Nigeria before returning to the UK, I couldn't get enough of heroic fantasy authors such as Robert E. Howard, Karl Edward Wagner, Michael Moorcock and Roger Zelazny. But getting hold of their books wasn't easy, as if at all, they often arrived in the Nigerian market a couple of years or so after publication, and I had to trawl through bookstores and sometimes market stalls to find any.

A life-long boxing fan, I published my first book, The Last Great Heavyweights-From Ali and Frazier to Lewis and Tyson in 2013.

The book was well-received and somewhat satisfied I had the chops as a writer, I decided to delve into fiction, and there was only ever one genre for me.
